What component in your cigarette smoke damages your health? I know most of you know the answer – nicotine. But, it’s not ‘only nicotine’. You cigarette smoke has lot other components that can harm you in many ways. Cigarette smoke is a complex mixture of compounds that come by the burning of tobacco and additives.

Apart from nicotine, the cigarette smoke also contains tar that has more than 4000 chemicals. Nearly all these chemicals are deadly. Some of these chemicals can cause lung and heart disease and emphysema. Some can adversely affect your bones and skin.

Cigarette smoke also contains some of the deadly chemicals, which are mentioned below. Also learn why they are bad.

Cyanide: It cause headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, and vomiting.
Benzene: It can cause drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heart rate, headaches, tremors, confusion, and unconsciousness..
Formaldehyde: It cause watery eyes, burning sensations of the eyes, nose and throat, coughing, wheezing, nausea and skin irritation.
Methanol: It is the simplest alcohol that can cause eye problems, dizziness, vomiting and bowel disorder.
Ammonia: It can be very irritating to the skin, eyes, nose, throat, and lungs.

Cigarette smoke also has some deadly and poisonous gases like nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide. I think, it’s clear that your cigarette smoke has the most damaging components. So, just beware when you light your next cigarette.

    Acutally I have a comment, I started smoking at 39 I guess in a sense rebelling since I was always a good girl. I have recently noticed that I am constantly nauseous, I was wondering if it’s due to smoking.
