- Every night before going to bed apply Vaseline on your lips. Use a toothbrush to remove the leftover Vaseline and the dead skin after normal brushing is over. Lips will become more redder
- Choose cigarette brand that is good for you. If it is darkening the lips, then stop it immediately
- Take a healthy diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Use a concealer, then use your favorite lipstick brand
- Apply glycerin and scrub the lips with a lemon. Leave them on for ten minutes, then wash off
- You can also sleep with lemon on your lips
- Drink plenty of water to detoxify the system
- One can use a cigarette-holder, so that the cigarette does not touch the lips
- Homeopathic remedies are available
- One can use red color lipstick to cover the dark lips
- One can try to quit smoking. It is good for overall health
- A lip moisturizer should be used at all time. Do not use lipsticks that cause dryness of the lips

thanx for the advice, i was using carmex to try to get rid of it, but it only seems that carmex makes things worse..
