Mexico to Ban Public Fagging

Mexico joins the cigarette ban group. Public smoking has been banned in this South American city, where millions live inhaling this obnoxious smoke. Smoking will not be allowed in bars, cafes as well as offices. The idea is to improve public health in this highly polluted city.

The 18 million residents are not going to take to the ban so easily. As in Germany and France, many enjoy lighting up when having a drink or two or lunch or dinner at a restaurant. Notices have been displayed in restaurants highlighting the ban. Those who will violate the law will have to pay a heavy fine.

Many countries have banned public smoking. This is to protect non-smokers from secondhand smoke. Smoking is injurious to health. It causes many diseases and ailments such as cardiovascular problems, lung cancer and other lung related ailments. Several anti-smoking campaigns have been organized to highlight the bad effects of smoking on one’s health.

Conscious citizens have also expressed their concern over teenage smoking. Banning cigarette smoking in public can perhaps help to discourage children from smoking. Adults will have to after all restrict their smoking habits. Children generally imitate adults. If adults smoke les, than adults will also do the same.
