Cigarette buts get littered all over the place. Very few smokers throw the butts in dustbins. While smoking in a car, or strolling in town, cigarette butts are thrown around, while smoking. They litter Chicago’s fantastic beaches. They pollute city.

World over smokers tend to toss cigarettes butts. Such litter causes environmental problems. Better enforcement of laws are required to reduce the negative environmental effect of cigarette butts’ litter. Additional taxes go in cleaning up such environmental pollution.

The average butt contains chemicals, which are health hazardous. These cigarettes butts are often thrown into a side- walk, which drain into lake and seas. The paper of the butts are biodegradable, whereas their cellulose acetate filters are not so. Cigarette butts pollute many water ways. Tossing butts also cause many forest fires.

Cigarette butts discarded in ashtray can be a health risk to children.

Smoking itself is a problem, since inhaling the smoke can lead to many diseases. But cigarette butts are equally a problem as they not only dirty the surroundings, but are chemical pollutants, which can affect the environment. Smokers need to be careful while disposing off a cigarette. They should be eco-friendly.
