- Parents are role models for many children who smoke because their parents do so. They start early and become addicts in no time. Unable to cope up with their personal problems, they take to smoking
- Influence of cinema and advertisements, which eulogize smoking. You come across many well- known actors who chain smoke. Fans imitate such behavior of the cine stars. Advertisements also influence the thought processes of a smoker. He or she would like to try different brands. The immense pleasure derived cannot be given up. They continue to enjoy smoking one puff after another
Smoking is injurious to health is what anti-smoking campaign clearly state. They highlight the pitfalls of nicotine smoking. Pollution free environment is what they would like to create around them and others. Smokers, of course, continue to smoke as they feel that is the best thing to being doing, whether it is for pleasure or otherwise.
