The chemicals present in cigarettes are very harmful and tobacco smoke contains nearly 4000 different chemicals, among which 50 are known to cause cancer and many others are poisonous. Any sensible individual who is conscious about his/her health will immediately quit smoking and tobacco products by knowing the various harmful chemicals and their effect on health.

It is used as a solvent in fuel and chemical manufacture and present in cigarette smoke. It can cause drowsiness, dizziness, rapid heart rate, headaches, tremors, confusion, and unconsciousness.

Hydrogen cyanide used as a genocidal agent during World War II, is also present in cigarette smoke. It can cause headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, and vomiting.
