In regards to “Rheanna,” having smoked hookah for only 5 months and you’re supposedly “addicted,” I think you’re being a hypochondriac. First and foremost, I have been smoking hookah since I was 17, and I’m now 20. That’s THREE YEARS. I have never smoked hookah more than two or three times a week, and that often only if out with friends once a week at a hookah lounge. I’m no expert, but I think you seriously need help if you think you’re addicted to smoking hookah. Hookah tobacco has a lot fewer chemicals in it than cigarettes– mainly composed of about 30% tobacco and about 70% molasses and/or honey plus whatever flavoring, but it depends upon the manufacturer. Secondly, smoking cigarettes is a lot different from smoking tobacco in the sense that when you smoke a cigarette, you directly inhale the smoke from BURNING tobacco, as well as all the carcinogens and chemicals that are added to the cigarette. Hookah smoking, on the other hand, is done in a completely different manner. Generally, tobacco is placed in a ceramic “bowl,” and has either a metal plate or aluminum foil placed over the top of the tobacco to prevent the coal from actually burning it. The tobacco is warmed, and the smoke travels through the water where it is cooled. NO REAL STUDIES have been performed as to whether hookah is SAFER OR MORE DANGEROUS than cigarettes, but my personal opinion is that it isn’t as bad as polluting your body and lungs with all the added chemicals, such as cyanide, that you would find in a cigarette.

lol i love how after a study is done that people that smoke hookah like to deny that its true. I have been smoking hookah now for 5 months and over time my friends and I have started smoking more and more. i beleive this study totaly. My lungs are in a lot of pain from smoking hookah and it has become addictive. My friends and I have went from smoking once or twice a week to everyday, and we sit and smoke for three or four hours. I’ts a good way to pass time. Anyone my age(18) that smokes hookah would agree that they smoke just as often. anyone who thinks that hookah is not harmful is in denial.

any smoking is bad for your lungs volunteer at a hospice for lung cancer patients. change their diapers give then pain meds hold their hand while they die wipe their painful tears from their eyes somebody will be there for you to do the same
